In March Education Scotland published guidance to support teachers in the planning and implementation of Virtual Work Placements (VWP) for students.

We will be ensuring that any virtual work placements provided by employers to Gateway managed service customers meet the required standard and have produced a simple summary of the standard to assist schools and employers which can be found at Digital Placements - How You Can Help - Employer Area - Workit
We will also be offering online information sessions to employers who provide placements for our managed service local authorities to help them understand more about providing virtual placements. If any of the schools we work with have employer partners who would be interested in these sessions, let us know by emailing and we’ll ensure they get an invite.
