Gateway Engage provides schools with the opportunity to have and maintain a current and professional presence on the Internet. Gateway has developed a school website Content Management System.

 

Principally, there are three elements to this service:

1.    A school’s Site Administrator can access the Content Management System (CMS) securely through the Internet and can edit all of the content, providing the school with complete editorial control. 

2.    Using this web interface the administrator can publish the information from the CMS to the Internet in real time.

3.    Gateway provides a complete management service to ensure

• That each website is customised to meet Glasgow City Council’s requirements
• Online user support is available through the admin area of the CMS
• That we take advantage of technical developments and account of feedback from users
• That your site is available through the Internet, using very fast and powerful servers.

 
The template provides a highly professional, corporate image to pupils, parents, staff and the wider community.

Site Promotion 

 

Gateway assign appropriate Meta tags to school sites, to ensure that they are listed in relevant Internet search engines.  Gateway will also support additional marketing, publicity and associated activities undertaken by schools and Education Services.

 

Gateway's web developers can add further creative aspects and functionality to the site at later stages to maximise the use of emerging technologies, and to ensure that the site retains its currency and visual appeal.
