Our managed service local authorities have recently seen the rollout of our new Electronic Employer Process for Work Placements across all of their schools.

This new paperless process will greatly reduce the administrative burden for schools and employers and reduce the timescale for uploading placement details onto the WorkIT database.

The current paper form has been replaced by an electronic form which can be directly emailed to the employer and returned to Gateway, reducing processing time and eliminating the need for any paperwork. In addition both schools and employers receive an electronic copy of the information submitted for their records.

Both pilot schools and employers unanimously endorsed this approach with all schools reporting more than a 50% increase in efficiency and 94% of employers indicating that the process was much simpler and easier to use. We anticipate this will save over 400 hours.
